check and see if it's loose, or frayed...might be time to replace it.

yeah I checked , its not loose or frayed. I have been spraying WD-40 o it and it stops, just have to keep doin it, but then Someone told I shouldn't spray it cus it's bad for the belt or something.....I don't know, but I'd much rather fix it than keep spraying it.

WD-40?? Thats a lubricant... you should be spraying belt dressing to make the belt sticky or adjust the belt tensioner. You should not be spraying WD-40 on the belt....

Same thing is happening to me, but not on the A/C belt, the other belt I forget what is called. And when I'm going fast and I shift I can hear it slip.

Mine squeaks all the time (if theres any humidity in the air) then if I turn it on it squeals even louder. If I have my a/c on with the radio on, my radio fuse blows (never got behind the dash and touched any wires/stock radio. I'm about ready to just take the a/c out....cut summers coming and its hot as hell in the desert...

Checking belt tension with a guage is not a bad idea either. Even if the belt seems tight enough, it might not be.

Cool..I'll have a friend check the tension, I'm pretty sure he has a gauge and knows what he's doing.

Also, A bad bearing in the idler pully? which one is the idle pully? Are you talking about the pully on the a/c compressor?

Thanks again

Pep Boys and most car stores sell it. It comes either spray or a dropper style. Hope this helps, other than retightening the pulleys.

blower belts need replacing every 30k..just like ur plugs..maybe sooner..the squeaking is due to slippage in the belt..its either worn or loose..if the squeaking continues..ur about to see some bad bearings
