Is this significantly more difficult than just a b16 swap? I'm not sure if i'm allowed to answer a question with a question as I am a new user. I hope not.

The specific vtec head isn't going to make that much of a difference. You'd only be talking about a few hp and a few ft lbs of torque, it's not like it's a difference of 10tq or something.
