Default B18C1 is this a good deal?

So, I have the opportunity to buy a OBD2 USDM B18C1 for my 93 EG hatch and was wondering if this sounded like a good deal to everyone else.

Complete swap from a 4 door GSR (mounts, linkage, engine, tranny, ecu, harness)
110k miles on everything - no smoke, no grinds and the friend will help me with the swap if needed.

$2200 - $2400... Sounds good to me, just need some second opinions. Thanks.

bargain it $2200 if you can, either way its a good buy, I say buy it asap before someone else takes your opportunity. Get paper work or records of that motor to verify its condition, use and that its not stolen, and run the vin#. Then do a compression and leak down test for any problems, and do any required maintenance or replacements or just rebuild the motor, if your feeling doubtful of its condition.

sounds pretty good, i's definately get it for that price. As VTECth1s stated, do a compression and leak down test as soon as you install it, and just a general checking to make sure there are no loose or broken connections. What are your plans for the motor??

I like how everyone says to do a compression and leak down on an engine that is not in a vehicle.

I agree it should be done buy have fun with an engine laying on the ground.

If its not stolen than get it. If you have seen the car it was pulled from running than take it.

Offer him 2000.00 cash. The complete swap cost easily 3200.00 in good condition.

its possible to compression test a motor not in a car, just hook a battery up to the starter
