Default B18c1 butterflies

Im running my b18 without the butterfly valve thing hooked up and people have told me that it was designed to create more low end power for the gsr motor, my question is how much is this hurting my performance my not hooking it up properly? The reason i dont have it hooked up is cause i dont have that box that goes under the intake mani and all my vaccum lines are kinda rigged, i plan on getting a skunk 2 manifold so i dont want to have go buy these parts from someone.

without the vacuum tank you will lose low end power and power loss in the powerband. what is your set up right now?
