hey all, i just got a b18b1 swap in my car and im just wondering about the few issues i have

when i start it it runs like complete garbage and bogs out and dies unless i give it gas for about a minute or so, then runs but still bogs out and tries dying until it warms up a little then it seems to run but still wile driving hesitates when driving, unless im accelerating. but after i drive it it idles at around 1k and doesnt have any problems until i start going again it feels like its hesitating quite a bit,

im planning on plugs wires cap rotor tomorrow, but ive read that a ground near the thermostat housing might be the cause of it also.

im just wondering if you guys would have any other things i might need to go asbout doing also or what to do first so i can eliminate this problem

Wow im having that exact same problem in my 96 cx, I have ls turbo with hondata s100 that ran perfect in EG and in EK its doing same as you are describing, If I hold throttle at 1500rpm it will bounce. Sorry not mean to thread jack

im thinking maybe tps? because it stutters but if i hit the gas on and off itll stay alive if just hold the gas down whether its hal throttle quarter or full it dies and my buddy said he had the same prob and iut was tps

i had a cel of a coolant temp sensor and the vss ive replaced both coolant sensor and sender. still has hard time starting and staying running, it revs to 2k then drops to nothing and stalls out. any help?
ive cleaned iacv changed plugs wires cap rotor still nothing...

check ur timming or your fuel pressure regulator.

where is the fuel pressure regulator on a b18b1?

maybe map an tps sensors are change cus they have the same female plugs

i was looking at that but the wires arent long enough for to be switched.

He would fired q37 on his ecu and would of state that if accidentally switched the plugs. Please state the year of your car.

ok i was told to check the fuel pressure regulator, when i start it if i pinch down the fuel line which leads to it it idles perfect and starts so easy, if i let it go and start or rev it it seems to bog out and die. anyone ever have this problem? also im going to try to switch my d series one onto it does this work??

if you pinch your return line an works perfect an you rev it it seems to bog out is the fuel pump or regulator do a fuel pressure test

To the OP...make sure you did this at the ecu:

ok maybe someone on here can help me i just got done doing a b18b1 swap in my 92 civic 4door and im having problems keeping it running i have reset the timing 4 times thinking maybe it was off a little i have tried everything to fix it but i dont know to much about a b series what could be the problem it will start if i hold the gas down some and stay running as long as i give it gas but wont idel

i never checked into the wiring but im def gonna check into it because i replaced the plugs wires fuel press regulator and tps and map and it still wont run it just starts and falls flat on its face , how come noone else told me about this wire switch??
