b18b (obd2) in a '94 cx: Question about sensors
Sorry for posting this question in two forums, but maybe you guys can help a little more. Thanks
I put a '96 b18b (obd2) in my '94 cx about two weeks ago. I'm running a P75 ECU out of a '95 ls. My first question is about the O2 sensor. I only plugged in the four wire sensor at the end of the header. Since I'm running it as an OBD1 I'm assuming I don't need to worry about the sensors that are supposed to be in the cat. Am I right about this?
I was also curious about what the sensor on top of the intake manifold is for? The doesn't seem to be a line for it. It has vacume, so I plugged it for now. Unplugged the idle goes up about 1,000rpm, but plugged it's stays right where it should be.
Last question: Is there any particular wiring that should have been done. I don't want to be pessimistic, but it just seemed too easy for an OBD2 engine into an OBD1 chassis. The shock tower plugs were all the same and I just replaced the ECU with the '95 P75. The car is running great and seems to have the power that's expected with this swap. I'm just asking to double check my work and so I'm not driving around too lean or something. I hope someone has some insite for me. Thanks Again.
Also: Should I have any worries about my stock fuel system?

If it is the sensor right on top of the manifold(looks like it will hit the hood) it hooks to the carcol canister. I would get new fuel filter, and maybe upgrade the fuel pump.

Re: b18b (97hb)
Thanks for the input guys. I'll have to look into the fuel pump. I'm not smelling any fumes so I believe the setup with the charcoal can is ok for now. I'll post some pics when I have time.
Oh, and thanks to the honda motor company for making swaps so easy. Easier than I thought anyway .
