B18b into 2000 hatch
Ive searched and searched and searched a ton. Swapping a B18b from a 96' integra into a 2000 CX hatch.
The hatch has a d16y7 in it right now. My problem is the drivers side mount. What the hell mount do you use? The integra mount is a lot different it seems, and the mount thats on the d16 right now, it doesnt seem it'll fit on the b18.
Please help. What do I have to do here? I've already got an Si rear T-bracket that mounts onto the tranny, so thats taken care of already.

Re: B18b into 2000 hatch
because stock d-series studs are offset a little, whereas the b18's studs are lined up perfectly and a little closer together (looking from the top)

- drivers side engine mount POST
- rear engine mount T Bracket.....that's it for mounting!
To the OP, did you buy your engine yet? If not, go B20, it will make more power for very little more in cost

and use your stock mounts..unless you wanna buy hasport ones to have stiffer, nicer looking mounts... the only thing u should have to change on the wiring is the IACV since the y7 is 3 wire and the teg one will be 2 wire..

Re: B18b into 2000 hatch
And already have the engine. This swap is for a buddies hatch. Hes planning on boosting it eventually, and b18b's are supposedly a very good motor for boost, and we heard b20's arent. Thats why he shyed away from one of those and made his decision to go the b18b route.
Thanks again, much appreciated.

I got him to buy a 8 to 10 pin distributor jumper already, since d-series are a 8-pin distributor plug, and b-series are a 10-pin. We could of just chopped and saudered, but I did that on the last swap I did and I felt like burning my hands off afterwards. It makes things much much simpler. And the b18b is from a 96' obd2a, but we decided we'll run it with a obd1 b18b ECU (Just to make things easier for tuning, when he does eventually boost it).
