B18B info
If i get B18B with like a 100,000 miles: can i just put in new pistons, rods, blockgaurd, and sleeves to make it pretty much like a new engine??
If i am totally wrong, what would i need to buy to basically have a new engine????

There's a lot to go into an engine to make it, " Like new" or new. Yeah, you will need all that stuff, but don't forget about the crank- polished, balanced, seals, rings, gaskets, I always get my bottom ends blueprinted and balanced, you can balance your pistins yourself though, gotta do headwork too! I'd get a valve job, might as well port/polish, valve guides, springs, retainers, maybe even new valves...just all depends on how long you want your engine to last and what mod you plan on doing...

If you're gonna do all that, you should just go all out for a motor build. If not, and you're just gonna have a daily driver and the motors got good compresion, not buring oil, and pretty clean, I'd replace the water pump, timing belt, timing belt tensioner, and ignition cap/rotor. Just basic maintance. To me it wouldn't be worth it if you're not going for an NA motor or turbo build, unless the motor is in poor condition.
