B18b cable trans sol swap alignment issue
Question! i have an issue. you guys have been super helpful before.
i have :
Hasport B/vtec sol shift linkages
Hasport cable trans mount
Hasport 3 bolt mount
Si/SiR rear T mount
the engine is 1 - 2 inches too far forward.. so the linkage and rear T mount don't bolt up. suggestions anyone?

Re: B18b cable trans sol swap alignment issue
from all the research i've done yep. on here and hondaswap both says that's the one i need. either way, i could reuse the LS T mount and it'd probably bolt up fine, but still wouldn't help the shift linkage situation

Re: B18b cable trans sol swap alignment issue
There could be 2 issues. T bracket, linkage.
is the hydro/cable linkage interchangeable?
Also, Are you using a "EK'' Si t bracket? If so, it wont work. You will need to use one from a integra. Also, do you know if the hydro/cable t brackets are interchangeable?

Yep they are interchangeable, hasport said the shift linkages are same for hydro/cable, yep I have a 99-00 so rear bracket. So I need to use my stock LS one? I read you were supposed to use the Si one? Why the difference? I've got pics too. Ill up load them in a minute (I'm using my phone)

Re: B18b cable trans sol swap alignment issue
thank you for clear photo's.
Unless the cable swap is different you are supposed to use the DC.
The Si bracket would be for 96-00's that are being B swapped.

Re: B18b cable trans sol swap alignment issue
No problem. Thanks for the help. Alright, new plan I guess. See if I can use the LS rear T mount and my buddy has a set of EF B series cable trans linkages we're gonna see if they fit. If not, ill get my stock ones cut and welded to fit and see if I can return the linkages I bought since they don't work.

Re: B18b cable trans sol swap alignment issue
It can't be the mounts because hasport had to make them from scratch cuz they're had none in stock and I verified that they are the proper ones. Just Weird how its not working.

Re: B18b cable trans sol swap alignment issue
Did the mounts bolt in right? I mean easy. Hasport makes good ****.
When you try the new t bracket, do that first, and then try the others.

Re: B18b cable trans sol swap alignment issue
The mounts slid in perfect. No problems. The rear mount will help keep the engine stable but won't hop the positioning of It. So the linkages are still ****ed.

What I would do.
Remove the engine mounts, of course hold that sucker up with something.
Put the rear mount/DC t bracket in, and then try the engine mounts again.
I am fairly certain you'll the find the issue.
I am not knocking Hasport at all, **** happens, and something is not right in there.

Re: B18b cable trans sol swap alignment issue
I believe u are right about me having the wrong rear mount. I do believe that the mounts are correct tho. I think they company I got the linkages from either boxed the wrong ones or the fact that it is a cable trans not hydro throws off the length. Maybe these B series EF linkages will work. Trying them Thursday
