B16B block is 7mm taller then the B16A......
more agressive cams......diff intake manifold.....lighter intake valves....higher compression pistons with poly coat on the skirts.....thats just a few things I can come up with off the top of my head

b16b is a b18c5 destroked to 1.6l. The block shares the b18c5/b18c1 cast, and the head is still a pr3 casting with mild polish, more aggressive cams than a teg-r, stiffer valvetrain, bigger better manifold and throttlebody, high *** dome pistons, that are temp coated......basically, this motor is completely different than the b16a1/2/3
