So I have a '93 hatch, it had a B20B in it, I just swapped that out for the b16b, the hood doesnt clear the valve cover. I did a search on here and some suggested cutting the skelton out of the hood or washers in the mounts, but a friend of mine did the same swap into his 94 and had no issues with hood clearance but cant remember what mounts it had. I used the mounts from the b20 as the b16b was just a longblock that i had to piece together. I dont want to jimmy rig **** like cutting up the carbon hood and such, so Id like to know which mounts I should use?

haha you're referring to the jdm look of putting washers in the hood to pop it at the back, i did that to try and get me by til i figured the mount prob but seemed like i woulda had to use 40 washers to get it to clear

do u know anyone that skateboards? thats what i used on a friends. truck bushings, or even some plastic spacers with a washer on top and bottom...

ok thanks ya i may try that just to get my hood outta the shop before it gets snapped in half, id still like to get the motor to sit lower so if i could figure which would be the best mounts that would be perfect, it would'nt be as jdm but oh well haha

yea sittin lower would be better, but itll only be like 4$ to prop it.

no one know what kind of mounts their using with a type r engine?

stock mounts should be just fine. Are you using the right rear T- bracket? 94-01 Integra

ya im not too sure which mounts were used with this previous b20 swap, i had to re-use all of them for the type r, it had no mounts on it, just a bare longblock that i pieced together. dc integra would work for all mounts?

yes get all 94-01 integra mounts, and make sure the rear T bracket is not from an auto trans. they look similar at first glance but the bolt holes are a bit off. i still can't really think of a reason why you're motor is up so high though?

thanks alot guys for the input, i will get some dc mounts here and give that a go and i will update this to let you know if it solved the issue
