Default b16a2 throttle body on a y8

ok so this is the problem. i have a manual y8 intake manifold and i got a b16a2 throttle body for really good price but when i went to install it the iacv hole does not line up. the pictures will make it easyer

this is a pic of it without the b16a2 throttle body gasket and you can clearly see the round iacv hole.

here is a pic of the b16a2 thottle body gasket on the y8 intake maniold and it covers up half the hole

then here is the pic on the throttle body and as you can see everything lines up

if someone can help me out here. if not im just goinng to locate a manual y8 throttle body and get it instead.

What are the benefits of doing this? Also would you just splice the sensor to add the correct one?

no splice. u do however have to make sure its the right obd ! like obd 1 or obd2 they have to match or it will throw a cel

D is 55-57 and B is 62-64
It actually gives you NO benifit at all because the Plenum on the D series Intake Manifold is only 56MM (for the Y8 56MM TB) so it wont flow anymore air in there. You need to bore it out to take advantage of the bigger TB.

i understand that the power gain is slim to none but i got the b16 throttle body cheaper then the y8 so i assumed it would work fine. honesty if someone will trade me throttle bodys for a y8 i will. well since the throttle body covers up half the port for the iacv i feel that the idle will be really bad

idk how it will idle. Do you have a auto or manual Y8 manifold?
