Default b16a2 swap question

Well I did a little search and only found a couple answers. The car is a '99 civic ex, and the motor is a b16a2 out of a '99 EM1. Is this a direct drop and play, using my stock ex wiring harness, p2t ecu, and stock mounts minus the rear mount? I just purchased em1 axles because I'm using the b16 intermediate shaft. so just need to know if its a no hassle drop and play.

you will need moutns and an ECU. you should be able to use the stock harness but i'm pretty sure you will have to wire a couple things.

really? because my car is a '99 and so is the b16a2. And as far as I remember you're suppose to use the stock EX wiring harness. Also I already have the p2t ecu.

You're going to need to wire VTEC. You are correct in using your stock harness.

If you have an ex you shoud already have vtec ran .. all you need in the rear mount and axles and ecu ... its a direct drop in i have a 96cx hatch with a b16sir2

needed a harness axles ecu and to run vtec sence mine wasnt vtec.....plug and play just as easy as swapping another sohc

good luck ....

the only other thing i noticed your gonan need is a b-series shifting linkage or you can cau the one you have to make it work.

Edit: Luckyme0670 how did you use d-series mounts with a b-series motor?

My bad wasnt paying attention to what i was typing .. i did need 2000si mounts ... and shift linkage...

besides rear mount .. you still will need a 2000si rear backet though i think its called the t bracket not sure though but youll need it ..

you'll have to wire in the secondary o2 sensor and also the ckf sensor (i think) if youre using a stock obd2b ex 5 speed harness.

em1 axles will work, em1 rear tranny t-bracket or 94 up integra rear t-bracket will work.

also, since the engine is already out, you might as well look into stronger mounts (just in case) and also a lighter flywheel + new clutch...prolly save you some time down the road.

also, if i were you i would just get a obd2b to obd1 jumper harness and run a chipped p30 or something (unless youre in cali)

good luck

thanks for the reply.

Ok, I have the complete swap, shift linkage, and mounts. The wiring harness is going to be my stock ex harness which is vtec ready so no wiring needed, just plug and play from there considering I'm using the stock EM1 P2T ecu. The axles are EM1 axles and so is the intermediate shaft and T bracket.

What secondary o2 are you talking about? sorry noob question

there are 2 o2 sensors. one is at downpipe before cat converter, and one is on cat converter. second o2 sensor is the on on cat converter.
