Default B16a2 random plug

I have a b16a2 in a 93 hatch. I just bought the car about a month ago. I was cleaning up after a oil Chang and found this plug. Not sure what it is. It has red with yellow on 1 wire and the other wire is black and green kind odd it was laying over my intake manifold. And has a sensor on it that looks kinda lile a led bulb. Any ideas?

Looks like an air intake temp sensor, usually in the air intake hose on newer models

Like obd2 engines. I think they turned it into a obd1 cuz I didn't find a o2 sensor on the cat. Not sure what b16a2 this is how can I narrow my search to find where this motor came from(which model)

Yes like obd2. What obd ecu do you have?

Pretty sure your motor is out of a 99-00 civic si. Check the stamp on the head for the year, and see if the block still has the vin on it

Yeah that's what I was thinking. Everytime I look at some of the ways they swapped this it makes me want to kick the po in the face. I changed the left inner and outer tie rod on my lift when I was pulling the boot I saw they cut and welded the shift linkage.

Right. Hell a buddy told me about it. When and checked it out and picked it up for 1000 not going to complain much about that. Needs tons of work but my family owns a car lot and a towing business so I have plenty of parts cars.

No doubt. The thing you'll find is issues after issues. Yeah, buying someone's headache isn't fun or cheap.

Here's a pic from another thread where the same sensor has been mounted in an aftermarket intake tube....

This is a good idea. For me it doesn't matter it's just my dd till I get a new car. I'm planning on building a ls/v or b20/v all motor with itb's so I might as well get rid of it and I think this is a obd1 and I have no use for that plug

OBD1 also has it but it mounts in the intake manifold so you'll have to use it some way or another.

The b16a2 doesn't have it there but you can place that one in your intake but you can't use that OBD2 harness without some modification

Ok I'm going to look everything over tonight finally had a day where I can drive with the windows down. Just saying idk what the po did or how he hooked it up. Trying to figure out wtf he was thinking when he did the swap is the hardest part.
