b16a1 into a newer car
Is the swap of an engine as old as 1989 worth putting into a 93??? I am afraid of spending all the cash just to have problems with small things going because the ungine is older. Right now my 93 has no problems at all.
What do you guys think????

Can it be done, yeah, but you'll end up paying about the same as a newer motor.
You need P30 ECU, OBD I Dizzy, 92+ B16 series injectors,92+ Exhaust manifold or Header with (1) 4 wire O2 sensor, get yourself a hydro tranny (cable trannies suck. I have never liked mine).
It can be done, yeah. I've got that setup right now. But the only reason I did it is because I had all the parts I needed besides a distributor and ECU. Buying a Distributor and ECU is cheaper than buying a newer longblock

Re: b16a1 into a newer car (Slurp56)
well i am assuming i wouldnt need all that stuff because it would be included in the shop quoted price
I am guessing it would be a cable tranny with conversion to hydraulic or somethin cause I think that is the only way to work it without a newer Hydro tranny...

I have done the swap into my own car. I would just check with the shop and make sure they know what has to be done for the swap. Like was said, dist, injectors, wiring, o2 sensor, map sensors are located in different locations, also you have to make sure you get the right power steering pump as the harmonic balancer has different belt setups on them.
