b16a w/ jdm R header creating too much backpressure?
I just put a jdm type r header on my b16 but have not hooked the cat up to the header, it is suddering every so often then pops like crazy. Is it due to the fact my exhaust is not hooked up?(the header is hanging like two inches away from cat, so some exhaust is going through muffler).

no, its not creating enough back pressure... your header needs to be bolted up to the cat, not be 2 inches away from it haha
when you hook your exhaust up right it will take care of the backfiring
i bet it sounds like a tractor while your driving, my friend had to drive to the muffler shop with just a header

yeah it's that 2 inches that's doing it. My friends GSR is missing the front bolt that bolts the top part of his header to the bottom part and leaves an extreamly small hairline gap between the two header parts. and his header backfires every so often.
