For all of you know it alls and naysayers its time for the gearing talk again..Ive got a boosted jdm b16a and ive had a couple of different trannys in it and have numbers to prove the ls is better for boost than the b16 trans..at 12 psi the 3rd gear in the ls is noticeably longer..Of course we all knew that but how does it compare to the b16 tranny??ill tell u how..the extra time in gear actually holds full boost longer increasing mph and also more sustained boost in between gears and shifts..After having both all motor and boosted b16 the b16 tranny is awesome for all motor and the ls is by far is better for boosted applications..ps set your s300 up with the right gear ratios,ign compensation and boost by gear and you will enjoy a better response,less lag, and lower ets! 13.6@108 vs 12.98@118 with the ls trans..No more of that b16 is so much better than the ls for boost..proven!!!

I thought that the LS trans gear ratios were already widely regarded as being better for boost than the much shorter geared B16 trans?

yeah i had been on here researching before i got the ls trans and many people argued the fact both ways so i figured i would post some real documentation of the events that took place, and some et and mph comparisons..hopefully this helps anyone in the same predicament. thumbs up to the ls from me
