Hey honda-tech I've been having a problem with my b16a. The car idles like at 1200 rpm and when I'm driving in first gear under 3k rpm the car sputters really bad and when I keep stepping on the gas it bogs down and sometimes turns off. It only happens when I'm driving under 3k after that it runs perfect. Also when I leave it idling it will just idle really low then turn off. The cel light isn't on and I can't figure it out!!!!
If anyone has any clue what it could be I would appreciate your help(:

What car and ECU?

The idle always was that high?

Did you check for vacuum leaks?

Could be a million things. Fuel pressure. Distributor related issues. Timing. Etc.


Does your CEL work? Like...does the light come on momentarily when you start the car?

It just happened recently out of no where when I turned it on leaving from college. It use to idle like at 750 running a p28 with p30 basemap also put the gsr p72 that came with the car and same thing happens and for leaks I can't seem to find one all hoses are intacked

The car starts up quick no hesitation but other then idling high seems to get spark because I took off the spark plug wires one by one and can her it idle low when I take it off but idk if it's getting enough spark when I start to drive?. I have a fuel pressure gauge it reads 40 when it's on idle. And yeah the cel like turns on then off when I turn the ignition its just weird that it doesn't throw a code.

Bumb! Fixed it was distributor and vacuum leave from cruise control hose that connects on back of intake manifold
