Default installed megan springs need help

I have just installed megan springs on my ek hatch. Each spring had a sticker for the location on which end of the vehicle it went to. When I completed installing them I immediately noticed that the rear stood out a lot higher then the front. I have an inch and 3 quarter gap in the rear and a half inch in the front. The springs that were marked for the front were taller then rear, but they had the coils closer to each other then the rear. Could the have been a mistake were the taller springs withr the closer coils go to the rear?

thanks man for moment I thought that I had installed them incorrectly. Any reason as to why they are that way though. The description of them say that they give a 1.75in drop from front to rear.

9 times out of 10 the front drop is greater the reason handling/down force mainly.

Over an inch of rake seems suspicious. Have you called the company? Suspension was pre-loaded before you were done?

Yes and this what they told me "The length (1 coil difference) and spring rate are hardly noticable for the 1998 Civic Hatch. *Did you notice the length and spring rate difference between the OEM springs? *This would be your number one indicator of which end of the car the springs would be installed on." But I then replied back saying that when I go the car it had coil sleeves. And emailed me back saying,"If you have coil sleeves, just pay attention to how the lowering spring sits properly onto the upper and lower spring seat. *This is more critical than anything else." Everything is sitting properly, the springs are sitting in the perches correctly and you can't put them upside down.

That's a lot of rake. But...megan kinda sucks. Look online for other people who put Megan springs on similar cars. The springs may have to settle...but the front will settle as well, and probably faster/lower than the rear will.

Not that this will matter too much for ride height, but did you tighten the suspension bolts while the car was on the ground? You really shouldn't tighten them while the car is still jacked up.

Did you clock the springs properly? Did they sit all the way down into the shock cups?

Lol...huh?

Also 1.25" of rake seems abnormal as hell. You disagree?

My hatch is on coils and each is set the same but rear is higher a bit. Sounds normal what you say but also drive it a day and let it settle.

Also....the back will seem a lot higher when you set it down initially....until you take the Ebrake off. The way the bushings atriculate, the back stays up till you undo the E-brake. Hopefully, OP posted the issue after taking the car for an initial drive.

ok, so sure enough pre loading the suspension made the difference. crazy how missing a step can throw everything off. everything is sitting at the correct height.
