Default B16A Idle probs + others

I know this topic has been beat to death, but humor me...

My B16a EM1 Civic has an idle pulsing from 1k-2k. When it rains, it goes into limp mode not reaching above 2500k. After the cars been on a while (in the rain), it will throw a code, idle around 2k, and run fine.

I recently disconnected my battery overnight and now it throws a code all the time but runs fine. Yesterday I removed and cleaned the tb and now its back to the pulsing idle.

I have cleaned the IACV several times, even tried a brand new OEM one, but no dice. I have a p28 ECU so that cancells the o2 sensor after the header, but where is the rain problem coming from?

Well when the code was on constant, i took it to autozone one day and they were unable to read the code, my guess is because of the obd2->1 ecu. I don't have access to a factory ecu atm.

Excellent write up, but currently it's not throwing a cel.

I'm going to try to bleed the coolant system when I get off work, anyone have any write-ups or pics on where I should bleed out of the thermostat?

Jump the service connector anyway to see whether a code is retrieved.

https://honda-tech.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1901557

Tip: In some cases, for OBDI ECUs, the CEL may turn on while driving, but if the engine is turned off, the CEL and CEL code will be lost. The workaround to allow recovery of the code when this happens is to safely pull to the side of the road and leave the engine running while you jump the service connector.

---------
Bleeding may take 20-30 minutes:

1) Park the car on an inclined driveway with the front end higher than the rear.

2) Push the dash heater lever/**** to MAX heat.

3) Follow the directions in the diagram below

jumped the service connector and the cel just stays constant. but quick question: when you unplug the iac and the idle is ffixed but still throws a code, what does that mean?

Just reset the ECU. The code should not return.
