b16 tranny issues
Hello H-t,
So I had a b16 swapped into my 2000 DX civic roughly 4 months ago and today as I was driving the car suddenly got really hard to drive. A few weeks ago, it became really hard to get the car into gear. It also made a winding noise while I drove on the hwy. Today the car just suddenly began acting really weird and here are the symptoms:
1) hard to shift - i greased up the fork, now that problem is gone
2) Car sort of almost stalls in 1st and hops a little bit - I have a feeling it could be the pressure plate possibly? I have put the car in 1st with the e-brake on, and the car makes a noticeable noise. Everytime I engage the clutch now, the car jerks before it gets into gear.
I believe its time for a new clutch/pressure plate/throw out bearing. I have tried searching, a few times and it seems as though this is the culprit, but what i really want to find is a DIY of a pic by pic process, so I can possibly attempt it myself and save. Thanks for your help and patience.

Re: b16 tranny issues
i just replaced mine. no DIY that i know of but
take off the starter
take off the hydrolic line
take off the axles
take off the shift linkage
put a jack under the motor and tranny
there are the surrounding 17mm bolts. take them off and then lower the jack under the tranny and slide it off
