b16 swap problem!! Please halp
I am helping a freind do a b16 into his 93 hatch. Everything is done, but we came across a problem, it wont start. We checked the spark in each plug. we pulled the injectors and they are fine. If the motor is getting fuel and a spark, whgat could be wrong?? I noticed when turn the key over the exhaust manifold warms up slightly and I can hear a putt out of the muffler but not much. Could this have some thing to do with the timeing??
Thanks in advance. Any ideas are appreciated

first
is it a first or second gen b16
check your dist and make sure the wires are in the correct order
if you havent replaced the spark plugs, do it.
what ecu are you using
check your ignition timing too.

I have checked all the dist. wires they are fine. I have no idea about the ECU, so I'll go check that out when I get to his house this week. Anything else that would cause this problem????? Thanks
Oh, and it is a 2nd gen B16

Re: b16 swap problem!! Please halp (R you serious)
Yes we checked all fluids, replaced all fluids. I thought the ignition timeing only can be done one way and there is no room for mistakes with that. How can I check this ???? Thanks

this is actually my car.second gen B16 There is a vacum hose that was not connected. I have this little black think on the top of my dx motor that has a spot for a vacum line and an electrical clip to go on it. but I do not have this thing on my b16, so i do not have the clip connected nor the vacum line could this be my problem. could it be that my wiring is wrong all that i changed was added vtec solenoid, pressure switch, knock and vtec ground. If the wiring is bad, I thought just the vtec would not work. I need help I have a car that wont start its really depressing

I have spark and I have fuel. Are the plugs from the first gen b16 different from the second gen. I have spark and fuel could the timing be off? how do i check that? I did not change the timing belt.
