Default B series TB on D16 problem

Last night my buddy and I installed a B18C1 TB on his D16Y8, and now after everything is running, the idle fluxuates between 1000 and 2000 RPM's, and the cold idle is at like 2000-2500 RPM

anyone know what the problem is? ... I searched and nobody seems to be having the same problem as me, but theirs all runs fine

you mite have a intake leak, in the tb gasket, to find out , just take off the intake pipe, and cover your tb with you palm and see if the car shuts off, if it shuts off it don't have a leak and if it stays on it does and you can hear where it's coming from,. when your done and it don't have a leak then check on the tb. on the left corner there's a screw that you can adjust your air . just adjust it untell it sounds right, and there you go, don't forget to put some lock tight on the out side of the screw,(not on the threads) to hold it in place. good luck

Either a leak in the gasket, or if the tb came with a Fast Idle Valve, that mey need to be removed also. Good luck!

What Benefits are you hoping to see from this TB swap and did you have to have it port matched? I heard some TB's you do and some you don't.
