Default B-series swaps.

Okay, I didn't do my own swap (B18B1 into 92 Civic CX). I didn't have the time to do it myself. However two of my roommates have just bought engines we're putting a B16A3 into a 92 Civic VX, and a B18B1 into another 92 Civic VX. However neither one of these swaps came with axles or linkages. I know I need to get axles for the engine. So I would need either Si axles or Del Sol VTEC axles for the B16A3 and Integra LS axles for the B18B1. Do I need to use the Civic linkage or a B-series linkage such as a LS linkage?

B-series axles, and b-series linkage. That's it.

That's what I thought, I just wanted to confirm it before we go blow $500 on axles and linkages.

Just as a side note, you dont necessarily have to use Teg LS axles for the b18b and Si/del slow VTEC axles for the b16. You could use any b-series axles for either of these swaps. That includes GSR/LS/Si/del sol VTEC axles for either of the two swaps.

I don't believe this to be entirely true. I am not positive, but I THINK the LS uses a different halfshaft. I know the B-Series VTEC motors use a half shaft with a male end on the drivers side and the axle connecting to the halfshaft on the drivers side is female. I am not sure if LS axles are the same way as the SiR, GSR, or ITR axle setups. here, read this and be enlightened... http://www.hasport.com/News/Articles...rt%20Axles.htm

You would be wrong.

All 94+ integra, 92+ civic/del sol with dohc vtec use the same axles and
intermediate shaft. 90-93 integras used a different left side axle and intermediate
shaft but the right axle is the same as others. 90-91 b16a from civic and crx used
a different left axle and intermediate shaft than all of the above.
