a few good smacks with a hammer will loosen it up. a longer screw driver will pry it out then, your more than likely going to leek gear oil or trans fluid so have some on hand.

Did you pull the axel out from the end? You pulled it out of the joint. You are now in a world of pain.

it doesnt matter if the bushings fall out (i understand you mean the three bearings). a few good smacks with the hammer will loosten it up. them you will be able to pry it out with a screw driger, just remember, hit it with directionality proportional to the way it is supposed to some out.

Just like xero said, give it a few good smacks. Do you have a ball joint separator? Perhaps you can use that as well.

my ball joint separators all have the tines of the fork too close together to fit around the axle shaft but if yours is different it may work perfectly.

I did this to an axle once, and I got the end out by prying on it and cursing at it. I lined up all three of those bearings in the housing of the end and slid it all back together. it's been working fine for a while now, but all the grease ended up on the side of my motor...

Try using two prybars or big screwdrivers. I had the problem of the axle like binding up and when I used two it helped.

Yep, buy a big one with large split forks and it will pay for itself in the headaches you will save.
