1994 Del Sol D16 Vtec auto to manual swap
I recently bought a 1994 Honda Del Sol D16 vtec Automatic for $600. The car needs a transmission (crack in the case), a radiator, and a paint job. Other than the things that it needs it is in excelent condition. The interior is so clean you could eat off of the dash. I want to convert it to a 5 speed. I have a friend who owns a 1993 Del Sol and he paid roughly $1,500 for his auto to manual swap at a local shop. I am a mechanic, but I haven't worked on Honda's much. I am going to do the swap on my own. Can someone who has done this same swap help me get a parts list together. I've already got the tranny and and OEM clutch kit. I can't seem to find any information on this swap.
Thank you,
Jeremy

just so you know the shift linkage has to be from a delsol. a regular civic sohc shift linkage will not just bolt in.
you need to check into the rear mount bracket i think it might be different from auto to manual. the tranny mount on the frame and on the tranny itself are diffent too i believe. i know with the b-series motors they are both different.
you will also need to wire in your reverse lights, on the new tranny.
