I'm planning on taking out my gauge cluster (the speedometer is inaccurate, the tachometer "skips" and i need a better coolant temp gauge). I'm going to cut a sheet of carbon fiber and install all AutoMeter gauges and indicator lamps and install it back in it's bezel. I need to know if and how well the speedometers they have work with the Honda VSS's. AutoMeter says they are "programmable", so I'm pretty sure I can make it work. Does anyone have any idea how many pulses per mile a D16Z6/B16A VSS gives off? Also, I need a new sending unit for the fuel level if I am going to use their fuel gauge. AutoMeter says it will work with fuel tanks 4"-25" deep or something like that. I'm not sure how to mount it on the tank though, I'd like to do it in place of the OE sender, but am not sure how that will line up. Has anyone done this?
