Default automatic head slower than manual head?

As the title says, i can get a d16z6 from an automatic car, but my room mate says that it is going to be slower because the head is an automatic...is this true?

as far as i know automatic means the transmission, not the block or head.

it might be slower because the automatic cams are not that aggressive like the manual ones are...im not to sure about the z6 but i know for a fact an auto b16 is way slower than a manual b16
