Default automatic head slower than manual head?

Hey guys, i can get an automatic d16z6, but one of my friends says that its going to be slower than my old motor because its an automatic head, is this true?

I might be a little off here, but I think that the head is the same whether the car is auto or manual. It might be slower if you change your tranny from a manual to an auto, but that wouldn't be because of the head. Good Luck!

the heads are the same...you lose the immediate access to the power by going to an automatic, but there's no actual power difference. i had an automatic that i swapped out for a manual...no head difference...
