automatic b18 swap
i'm getting ready to do a swap for this chick who wants me to do a swap in her 2000 civic. its a b18b2 automatic and she wants to keep it automatic, don't ask me why because i don't know. i'm just trying to gather a checklist of what all i need and needed to know if i use the civic shift linkage, integra linkage or whatever.

Thats an absolute nightmare of a swap. First off, there are no OEM or aftermarket mounts that work, so you'll have to fab up your own. Second, you have to notch the frame rail because the automatic transmission case doesn't clear it. And third is just about impossible to wire it up so it shifts right due to differences in the way civic and integra automatic transmissions are controlled. Its just a bad idea all around.

i agree and i really dont want to do the swap, but thats what she wants i tried and tried and tried to talk her out of it but she wont budge. i read that you can used the auto integra mount and auto integra ecu. what all wiring would i have to do?

It can work in a 5th gen a lot easier than in a 6th gen. At least that is my understanding.
I know there are stock automatic B16As in Civic hatches in some country... but I couldn't even tell you which country. It's obscure and would be difficult to get a hold of. The transmission is the same as US ones, but the frame is different I believe.
I've never seen one in person or in photos though.
She should either learn stick, settle for an auto D or buy a 5th gen.
