Default Auto Meter Tach Install

Alright I have it all connected but when I went to connect it to the ecu I couldn't figure out which wire was the RPM signal wire... I tried the two that should've worked but didn't, the red with green stripe wire and the white with yellow stripe wire. I believe they were the 9th and 8th wires in from the left... Anyways I have a 97 del sol si. Does anyone know which wire is the RPM Signal wire? Better yet I am doing a VAFCII install as well and I am going to need a map of my ecu. That'd be great if someone could upload that here for me. Thanks!!

there should be a little screw inside the rotor of the dist. cap, with a little - sign above it (read that on someone's post in here) to connect the Green wire from ur tach to. I used the Blue wire behind the gauge cluster for the stock tach, but for some reason it made the tach really jerky and didn't sit right at idle

Run the green wire from the tach thru your firewall on the drivers side of the car. Look around your right strut tower, there will be a bundle of wires, and one wire (blue I think) that goes off into a cap that's just taped to the bundle of wires. That's what you wanna plug it into if you don't wanna bother running it to the distributor, which may require lengthening the wire...

On a 95, the set of plugs on the subframe by the shock tower will have this little extra goofy plug. It has one blue wire going in and nothing going out. This is the technicians diagnostic tach signal. Use it for the signal to your tach. It will work like a charm.

Maybe it's the same on a 97. I imagine so, but can't confirm 100%. But if it's there, it is very convenient for what you need to do with it.
