auto to manual question

auto to manual question
this past weekend i swaped my tranny to manual and got a new motor.... now right now i have a CEL thats saying the "torque converter" is messed up or something around there. now how do i tell or convince the ECU to think i dont have a torque converter anymore... thanks alot for any replys...i need to figure this out asap cause my inspection is out PLEASE HELP

To my knowledge you need a different ECU, but ill check on the wiring once to see if theres something you can jump but i dont think so
Edit: i did a quick check and i belive you need an ecu for a manual trans

you can modify the ecu itself to fix the cel. I believe that you have to remove a resister and solider in a jumper. If u search along those lines you'll find a few posts and btw the fix is simple its not more than mabe a 5min job.

if it's a non vtec engine then just get a manual PO6 ECU. They're pretty cheap since (almost) nobody uses them and if you have a VTEC engine then buy a manual P28... But even then the CEL shouldn't harm the way your car runs...

dude just save the trouble you will end up going through and just get a manual ecu (Ebay they are cheap)
