auto-5speed quick question

Default auto-5speed quick question

When doing the auto to 5speed are the mounts or brackets on the frame the same
or do you have to move one of them ,i've heard you do and don't please let me know ...if this is a repost show me the thread

On an EG you will have to cut out the side tranny mount and weld in a manual tranny one.

Hey Man,

I just recently did this and during my research I heard people say that you had to move it. I don't know what kind of measuring device they were using, but I did not have to move my mount bracket. I took the AT bracket off, and welded in the MT bracket. I even went to a junkyard to make really sure that I was right, and the distance from the edge of the battery tray to the centerline of the brackets was the same for both AT and MT, 12.5 inches.

i heard the same thing u do and u dont people keep mixing me up sum people say u just use the standard mount of the standardf tranny
