auto/5psd swap.. actual mounting of the shifter
Hey guys, i ran into a problem at the garage today. I'm swapping out my sohc auto, and going 5spd.. when i put the new shift linkage up, i can't really see how it mounts. Do people weld in some brackets and mcguyver it..
the shifter/linkage looks like this
-<>-
I have a square hole, thats way to big, with 4 bolts. Then in front of that is the passage for the auto shift linkage. It fills like the shifter should be right where the auto one is..
thanks. (btw this is a 99 civic sedan)

Re: auto/5psd swap.. actual mounting of the shifter (yanta)
there are two holes right underneath the big square opening, what i did was use the hole on the left side and drill a hole for the right side which should be close to the hole on the right, good luck

anyone else, i can't find a picture of it, but the end of the shift linkage, the metal oval that holds the shifter, and has 2 small bolts, then a small pole/open rod that goes about an inch or so after that
