is it hard to install after i get my swap? also, if you dont have p/s, is it all that difficult to drive? i am interested in seeing how one would drive but i have no access to a 5g civic with no p/s. sorry for sounding like a neeewb

It's not too bad w/o P/S. Just parallel parking is a little tough at times, but overall, it doesn't make a difference to me at all.

Power steering is un-nessassary weight
I don't care for it though. Never had it, and will never get it. My car turns fine, not hard at all.

you can feel the road better without p/s especially when turning quickly. It gives you a good workout when moving slow. ie pulling out of parking spots and paralleling. overall i like it without

of all the eg hatches, only the si came with power steering,
but it was an option on dx's. and if you really wanted it, I duno.. but maybe you could have gotten it in cx/vx's but i've never seen it.

power steering sux.
it's for wimps! lol
really though, manual steering is great for road feel, less weight, and more power to the wheels with out the belt draw.

I'll drink to that -
Have a 94 EG - Love the manual steering. Feels great at speed, and not *too* unreasonable to steer while parallel parking...
Power steering numbs your sense of the road...
Peace

I am power-steering less and loving it! I just got a new set of Falken Ziex and for some reason it feels like I have power steering now . The wheels turn like butter even with lowered tire pressure. Parallel parking can be a bitch sometimes, especially with the 5 turns it takes to get from lock to lock. But I still not having power steering!!

Re: attn: hybrid civics, how do u deal with power steering? (cspciviclx)
My old Dx (5th gen) had no p/s and now has a b18c swap and I drive it on occasion and it drives super easy.
My current Civic Si (5th gen) has p/s with a b18c swap and I think I like not having p/s better.
But before I swap out my rack I think I will try some stiffer springs in my gc's and see if I cant get that road feel back.

Well, I do have power steering on my motor and I personally like it. I do plenty of parallel parking so I decided to just stick with it. Maybe, I will pull it out when I get sick of it.
