Default arp headstud help

ok guys i did a ls/vtec but i think i got the wrong headstuds on ebay they said ls/vtec & b20/vtec product num 208-4306 but we put them on & now theres oil in my 1 & 3 cyl could the headstuds be the problem help me out guy thanxs

Sounds like a headgasket problem before a headstud problem.

headgaskest is new but i also wus thinking hg so i bought a new 1 but i dont wanna put it on if it do the same thing i wanna find out if b20 headstuds will work on b18a with a b16 head its pissin me of haveing at home just sittin there

208-4303 is the part number that you need. It is the same number for a GSR. these are the head studs i am currently using in my setup. Maybe you didnt torque the head to spec.

could have put the head gasket on upside down. guy i used to work did it on a h23 and it spewed oil from between the block and head

I think coolant would be in the oil if the headgasket was upside down,it is not as uncommon as people think i had done it with my cometic gasket tho. lol honest mistake

so basically i cant use the studs i have is ther anyway possible they could be used im just tight on money right and no therse no coolant in my oil just oil burning like hell in num 1 & 3 cyl num 3 has the most dont know why here are sum pics of the num 1 & 3 cyl exhaust ports

???????? anybody come on is it posible to use the b20 headstuds from arp 208-4306 on a b18a for ls/vtec can they be used

what head gasket did you use??? one from your lsvtec kit or a honda head gasket?? i hear that some of the head gasket from kits are poopy

those are the right studs. did you block off the oil port in the head?

well we used the 1 that came wit the lsv kit i have a new honda 1 just not tryin to mess it up if its the studs thats giving me prblems and yes we pluged the oil hole in the head wit the skrew that came with the kit its my first build n relly dont know wtf is up it sounds good and everything but its burning oil like hell should i just change the headgasket to see if it stops

the only reason it would be caused by those studs is if you did not torque them down properly. ive got the exact same studs in my b20/b16.

on my ls-v swaps and crvtec swaps i use the gsr stud i think b20 studs are longer than gsr and for ls a ls(81mm) a ls head gasket and for b20(84mm) a b20 head gasket

Make sure that you torque your studs down correctly, easiest way to start troubleshooting in this case. They need to be torqued in a specific order as well. If you search around honda-tech.com, you're bound to find them. I did when I needed them.

Honestly the headgasket is wrong and if you can torque the studs your stright im currently building and i need the right headstuds studs?????????
