Default Applying Dynamat or the like to outer door skins

How am i supposed to do this. Can i remove that inner door panel (the metal part, i have all the interior stuff out). It seems as though its welded to the window frame so i havent' tried anything.

Everyoen says make sure you do these outer panels, and i seem to agree. Do i have to just go in from the lareger holes near the bottom?

Any tips/advice is totally welcomed!!

You have to remove the moisture barrier (that plastic piece covering the inner door skin, and just cut the mat into pieces that will fit through the access holes and just do it that way. Its a PITA, but well worth it if you are looking to kill noise.

Woot, i couldn't be happier. It wasn't very difficult at all. The other door, and rear skins, and trunk will be done tomarrow. 100sq ft isn't very much! lol

Thanks again for your help

No, 100 sq. ft. really doesnt go all that far, especially if you start doing the floor pan.

Looks good. Press it on there really good, or even heat it with a blow-dryer before you apply it. It makes the adhesive alot stickier, but also makes the whole piece alot more flexible and easy to work into place.

Did you look at the first picture?

both of these weighed like 10-15 pounds. both 50sqft rolls. I'm not a weight ****, i'm more concerned with the comfort of my only car...

Well, if i took pictures after i pushed a screwdriver through the holes, you'd understand. If you think about it the matting even helps hold the clip in place. I can go take ap icture of the door all completed right now if it will help you believe me. lol

Is it more effective to put dynamat in place of the vapor guard or line the sheet metal? Also, what did you do where the dynamat didn't have a place to stick, just leave it sticky for dust to cling on? Thanks.
