Default Apex-i Pillowball mounts!!

They are said to be used for their coilovers, but I want to know if I can use them with any style strut. Kyv Agx preferrably.

Anyone rocking them? Tell me if they fit...Thanks.

why not get the Ground-control ones.. and I'm sure they make them so that they are applicable to most shocks on the market

the upper pillow mounts at the apex'i sale were only $50. i think that some prices were pretty decent, like $1700 for the sohc vtec turbo kit, not a bad price, compared to their usual asking price of $3000+

yeah. SOME of the prices were good. many were not. but still...100 for the two is a pretty good deal brand spanking new.

bwahahahaha...you're a funny, funny man...

So how would the noise compare with Teins or other fully threaded coilovers with pillowballs already in them? A few of my friends run Teins and I don't really hear a noise...

so your friends ran Full TEIN suspensions with the pillowball mounts? most people will say they are overkill for a street car.. and I remember when he had them on the ek with the kg/mm setup.. first thing he said to me was how harsh the ride was ... but of course you see the true potential of them on the track and not really on the street

my friends go by the saying "if you are going to do something, do it all the way. why spend money on getting a cheap part and then wanting something better?"

reasons i choose my motor..not another b16.

the ground control units are not true pillow ball mounts in the sense of something like cusco or apex.

https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=435578 refer to this thread and look at them. nice rubber insert. even the owner says they made ride quality do that.

pillow ball mounts would be a straight metal cap. they take away slop that a rubber shock cap can give. some people complain about em. by buddy across the street has them on his itr. they are fine to me.

ES bushings are the compromise.

i have the Tein ra's with pillowballs, there is no noise (clap clap ) at all... they are very stiff, but there is no play in them at all, they replace the bushings with spherical bearings, i dont know about the apexi though. do not get these unless you are planning to be aggressive with your car, cruising is a test in futility.

I have HKS coilovers w/ pillow mounts and there is no noise. I don't know why there would be any noise if they were bolted down properly. I think my ride is kinda stiff but it really doesn't bother me. Most people might not like the kind of ride you get w/ pillow mounts though.

oh well, the sale passed. I didn't get them for mainly 1 reason...THE LINE. By the time I realized I wanted them, the line was...outside the warehouse, turns to pass that first tree, then outside into the parking lot..and back, back, back, back.....anyone see that **** on the first day??
