Product review: Ground Control Upper mounts.

Well here they are, the new product they came out with recently. They're only supposed to be used with Ground Control coilovers, but look pretty universal to me. Cost is $75 per side for a total of $150 for all four straight from GC.
They aren't pillowballs, they are for ride quality. They supposedly add 3/4" of shock travel to your setup, so even slammed rides can make use of their suspension to an extent.
I took off my Tein HAs in hopes of gaining a better setup, comfortwise. I mated these upper mounts with GC coils and KYB AGXs. The ride is noticeably better, no doubt mainly because of the softer spring rates of the coilvers. I only have a mild drop of about <2 inches or so, so I retain plenty of shock travel. Not bad for the price and i don't feel too bad about dropping the kybs past 1.5inches.
Kinda wierd, I cleaned the Teins all up so I could sell them, and they look so damn good that I don't want to get rid of them.
Nice, I've been waiting to hear a review of these and don't spend enough time in the Road/Auto X forum. What kind of spring rates are you running on your GC's?
Think it's 250front, 325 rear or something like that, don't remember. It's a pretty soft setup though compared with the HAs
do you know if these are compatible with koni yellows? i cant really tell by looking at them. guess ill have to give them a call and find out. they look nice though, and the review seems pretty favorable.

Also I should note, the Fake ITR bar I had wouln't quite clear the upper mounts, so I had to take it off. The GC rep, however, told me it should clear the OEM bars.

woah... If indeed your spring are set up that way they are on backwards. it should be 325 fronts and 250 rear.
Those look good, just to replace my old ones from my 95 Ej1...good replacement parts..mm..I might have to get some...
so the ground controls come with 325 in the rears and 250 in the fronts? good i need to call eibach and get this setup. tired of 1000 lbs in the rear to damn bouncy.

No, they're not on backwards, they're just not conventional. And supposedly the stiffer rear helps out w/lack of rear swaybar.

So what exactly do the upper mounts do? Does it help handling and ride quality at all over the stock upper mounts?
Im currently running GC (integra rate) and kyb agxs. I'm pretty happy with the setup, even with my heavy
h22 up front.
So can anyone confirm the actually spring rates for civic and integra GCs?

GC offers infinte rates since eibach produces them... all you have to do is read the writing on the Spring itself..it's usually in LBS like 300 or 240 or so..

They aren't pillowballs
they are for ride quality.
has anyone installed these after already running a GC setup? I'm running GC and koni yellows and would like to know if it is worth the purchase to get these.

Don't see why they wouldn't be.
They look pretty trick. I'm just curious as to how they supposedly increase travel.
