Great with boost and cheap. compression is in the 7s. check http://www.turbod16.com and lookup user fjt. he has custom length rods to bump up compression. Tons of threads bout them as well.

People have hit in the 400whp range with them now. I got a set from FJT. Super fast shipping and a very knowledgeable guy to boot.

Why would you build the bottom end for turbo, and then not turbo it?

can you pepople read, he said he will put a turbo. Maybe its better to put a big turbo and build the block after it blows......or not. Obvioulsy if he had all the resouces to do both at the same time he would have.

I just Finished putting a set of vitara pistons and scat rods on my eg y8 motor. im currently braking in the motor since the compression is in the 7's (7.8 to 1 ) it feels slugish. but hopefully with turbo setup it will run like a champ...
