Anyone have this exhaust on their ek sedan? i just want to see how it looks like and if it will kinda stick out from the rear bumper. I don't want this to sit way back like some exhausts.

Do yourself and your fellow driver's ears a favor and save up a little more money and get a netter, QUIETER, exhaust system.

bleh. If it doesn't sit right, a muffler shop will fix it for you for cheap and make it look exactly the way you want. Egay exhaust + fix is still cheaper than a brand-name.

I disagree. You could buy something like a brand name muffler, say an Apex-i world sport, then take it to a muffler shop and have some new piping with an increased size of 1/4" to give some fantastic results and sound...for the price of a no name ebay gamble.

Really? I'd think having an entire mandrel bent custom exhaust made for you would be expensive... unless you're comparing a mandrel bent ebay exhaust that fits your car to some ghetto crush bent exhaust made by a guy that fixes hole in Dodge Caravan mufflers all day. Omg... I can't believe I'm defending ebay exhaust. I give up.

The cheapest exhaust I'd be comfortable with is a Yonaka. It's around $300 and pretty nice from the sound clips I've heard.

Long term quality has yet to be determined.

A good apexi WS or rsr Exmag isn't much more, $450 or so for a solid exhaust is a worthwhile upgrade.

Or better AND cheaper get the axleback you like, and have a shop weld you an exhaust with a long resonator to it. Probably ~$300 if you get an expensive axleback.

Someone near me is selling a good condition gredy evo2 muffler for $80, I'm tempted.

Indeed, mandrel is more of a "paying for the name"

Regular bend piping is fine. I've never seen a muffler shop use crush piping.

i can get a 400-600 dollar exhaust, but i'm still only on a d16. I don't think its worth it unless i have a b series setup.

I just need something that will replace my current rusted out stock exhaust and looks good plus clear the rear bumper. It comes with a silencer too so i think its not all that bad.

If your current exhaust faulty?

Why not save the money you'd spend on a good exhaust system and put it towards getting a good swap first.

I'd much rather have a stock sounding k20a under the hood than a noisy d-series with 170,000 miles on it.

Why not try and find a used OEM exhuast?

Or, you could have a exhuast shop make you a mid pipe, and find a used muffler.

Would be less than aftermarket, and keep the cops off your ***.
