go get it pretested for 35 bucks to see if you will have potential problems. use 87 octane gas and make sure all your maintenance is done.

I don't live in **** county there (CA) for them to inspect your car w/ a microscope but here's what I would do: I'd order a STOCK OEM cat from honda, use high economy/low emissions parts to make it pass...then you can swap 'em back out..

But maybe I'm thinking too farfetched here?

just do a tune up. plugs, wires, cap, rotor, fuel filter, air filter, oil change, and get a new cat. make sure the timing is correct or else you will get failed. set it back more retard, it makes less NOx. i think on the d15b7 the timing is 14+/-2. put it at 12 BTDC

use some fuel injector cleaner - make sure to run the car pretty hard before your test so u warm that new cat up.

the timing has to be within the spec for the car. if it is off, it will FAIL that portion of the test. so careful if you are going to retard the timing. in addition, i think you should be able to run your car at normal specs as long as it is in good running condition. go get pretested and find out if you even have anything to worry about. just because it has high milage doesnt mean you are going to fail. my 87 subaru had 240k on it and passed with flying colors.
