Any easy way to replace the rear mount without lifting the engine?
i think my rear mount might have gone bad.it is a b16a2 engine. anyone knows an easy to replace that mount without have to lift the whole engine? thanks.

put a floor jack with a peice of wood under the oil pan and jack it up alittle and remove the mount ull be fine

thansk guys..acutally i am thinking of replacing them with hasports mounts

yeah it is a bithc to replace, a very tight area. i suggest you take your time and pick up some swivel socket links. it'll make the job alittle easier.

Yeah, it's an annoyance, but once you've done it you'll be able to do it again in about 30 minutes Expect 2 hours the first go-round.

yeah i think i know how to do it cause i swapped b16a into my eg myself.i just dont want to deal with the engine hoist again to lift the entire engine just to replace the rear mount..

take the intake manifold off..... youll have a straight shot.... even tho i had no problem when puttin a b16 in my eg with it all togeather

I tried looking at the best way to do it, would you guys hit it from the underside or from the top?
I myself have to replace a rear engine mount since my driver side was broken, i decided to buy a whole set of Innovative Steel mounts. The driver side and passenger side mounts were a breeze, and now im stumped at the approach for the rear engine mount, because i had JUST dropped in my D15B, and the mount broke soon after, and i really dont want to pull her out again.
Has anyone done it before? (DIY maybe? :D )
