antenna problem
My radio doesn't have good reception so most of the time the radio just plays alot of static, when im lucky it picks up signal and plays songs clearly but only for a little bit. I also noticed that the antenna doesn't come out when i turn on the radio, how can i fix this? It seems like the antenna isn't working, what could be the problem? Car is a 99' civic ex if that helps.

Re: antenna problem (baybeboi)
find the wire that controls the antenna in the dash and hook it up to a switch w/ a 12V power supply. and whenever your listening to the radio flip the switch. or if your deck has a antenna control wire...hook it up to that and it should only go up when the source is the radio, and should go down when its on cd.
