Another Window Track Question
The Civic I just bought is experiencing the problems with the window popping out of the track that so many have complained about.
After a little research, I was able to losen the run channel and pop it back in. I lubed it up with some silicone spray and unfortunately, it is still popping out about half way up.
My question is: how do I know whether the track is damaged, the rubber needs replacing, or if the regulator is warped and pushing it out?
I'd rather not replace everything if I don't have to.
Also, an aside, is there a trick to getting the door panel back on properly? What a pain. It seems that there are several clip that all need to be attached from different angles.
I realize that this topic is getting tired here, but any help identifying the culprit here would be appreciated.

Re: Another Window Track Question (mehron)
yea...my hatch used to do that..the reason for it was because i locked my keys inside and did the pull the window trick..anyways...it happened to both hatches that i've own...prob someone tryed to break into your car...well..on my first hatch...a little roller that the regular has was broken, so i fixed it by replacing it...and on my second one, i was the rubber on the vertical track that was messed up...so i replaced it and it worked...

my driver window pops out of the track when going up ever since someone broke in by breaking the window.
i've looked at it, but i don't know much about window regulators. Nothing looked broken or worm inside though..

Re: Another Window Track Question (mehron)
What year is your Civic?
As for the door panel, first slide the top of the door panel onto the door. Then all the clips should pop right in. Fairly simple.

Re: Another Window Track Question (00ekcoupe)
It's a 97 Civic DX Coupe.
I'm not sure if the channel is bent or the regulator is bent and pushing it out of the track.
Also the rubber could just need to be redone. I guess I could always change it all for the peace of mind, but I was hoping to save a few dollars.

Re: Another Window Track Question (mehron)
In my 99 EX the same stuff starting happening to me. Took the panel off and ran the window up and down to see where/when it was popping out, then took that part of the track and bent it with vice grips and a hammer in the same direction that the window was popping out of. Then I put some graphite and silicon lubricant in the rubber tracks. Good as new!

Re: Another Window Track Question (BlueIntegraBoy)
I'll have to double check that. I think the bolts are tightened all the way.
I also realized that pulling the panel behind the mirror makes hanging the door panel much easier.
