Default another quick question on manual conversions

i know it's been covered plenty of times when i search it came up with a bout 100 results but noone have yet o answer my question. after about 30 posts i gave up

anyways, so my friend has a wrecked eg and he's parting it out, i have an ek that's automatic. my questionis if i can use his tranny, and parts to swap the tranny to manual on my ek? im not swaping the motor or anyhting just the tranny. and i have yet come by a complete list of parts needed, i've gotten bits and p ieces but there are so many. any help would be apreciated. also, once the conversion is complete do i need to re register the car or anyhting? since on teh paper work it says it's an auto but in reality it's manual.

only reason im doing htis is because most of the parts are all free, so taking advantage of it. thanks.
