whats the difference betweenthe 4-2-1 and the 4-1. from wat i understand the 4-2-1 gives more low end power (rpm?) and the 4-1 gives more hi end power (again rpm?) is this correct

A quality 4-2-1 has the best of both worlds. I'm sure there are technical threads about the physics of the different headers, including primary diameter, collector design and tuned tube length. If you search for "header" I'm sure it'll bring up a wealth of information .
