another hard lesson learned -- hx wheels.
Okay, sold my axis tc's tonight over at a friends house, the kid drove off with the old axis's and i said, "yo dude, i'm about to dip." I had borrowed some hx wheels and had them on my car until I buy more rims. Well, i put the car in gear and started to back up, when I heard cruuunnncchhh, I was like "what the hell is that!" i got out to make sure i hadn't left the jack under a tire or something then I realized "THE HX WHEELS WON'T CLEAR THE EX BRAKES!!!!!" Oh my god, i had those things pressed up against my caliper so hard and i didn't even realize it when i put the wheels on. Dumb me i guess, won't do that again. \
Moral of the story, don't sell your steelies for anything.

I heard you can get some sort of wheel spacer...I did the same thing on my old EX back in 96...Put the fronts on and the car came to a dead halt.

you could put some walmart hubcaps on there. *bling bling* ::sarcasm::, but if your looking for 2 more stealies you can always find them on ebay or people around that area to borrow.

same exact thing happened to me. traded my girlfriend's steelies for a set of HX rims and some cash after meeting up with a guy i met online, in a city that is about 1.5 hrs away from home. i was stuck there and had my brother drive up to bring another set of rims.
that wasn't fun. it ruined my saturday night

Just take a grinder and grind down the part where the caliper makes contact with the wheel. It is not a lot of material to remove and will not decrease the structural integrity of the caliper at all. My buddy did this on his '97 EX when he put HX wheels on it.

washers (spacers) work great!!
Torque the luggies though.
and torque again within a few miles to be sure they're on their good........

washers, all that sounds tooooo sketchy, i'll deal with having mis-match crap wheels for a week.
