you need a missing link or check valves

You need some REAL fuel management, ESPECIALLY on a b20.

walbro 195 or 255. maybe some 310's or 390cc injectors. Better FMS than a FMU. at least get a vafc. Boost gauge. Wideband o2 for tuning

i wouldn't run bigger injectors on a fmu, it's going to run like **** with nothing to control them, i would rather run the vfac hack, and i don't even like the hack

if ur short on money, can't go wrong with a uberdata

i would go hondata for the bling factor + recorse and proven performance and it's been around longer, i like hondata

but im diggin urberdata more and more each day

ok so, FMUs suck *****... i will look into getting hondata or uberdata... i am in the works for trading a guy some slicks for his vafc so that is settled... can i run JUST a vafc with no fmu? will i get fuel under boost that way? and i was going to get 370 rc injectors and i guess i should get a fuel pump now. do i really need a missing link cause i am not running more than 7 lbs because im only on a b20 and im afraid that anything over 7 lbs and my block is done for. is this accurate?

anybody else with any input???

and thanks guys.

oh yeah... what are check valves?

honda map sensors get all squirrely when they see boost and pop on a CEL. the map check valve keeps the computer from seeing pressure. if you go with the hondata you will need a 3 bar map. but if you want to use the FMU, you will need the map check valve. it is called a missing link. or you could use fish tank valves but the missing link is way cleaner.

so basically the missing link isnt necessary unless im running over 11 lbs? it seems to me that even one pound of boost would be noticed by the computer and it would start throwing codes. but i could be wrong! i am thinking about getting some kind of temporary FMS until i can afford AEM EMS. how much is the uberdata setup? but other than the FMS and fuel pump, i am ready to go boosted... right? is there anything else... im really scared about blowing up my motor so i want to be extra sure that i am doing everything that i can to prevent that from happening. thanks for the imput and keep them coming!

Your goin to need either the check valves or a missing link no matter what. And to run the vafc hack...you need to get DSM 440 injectors and a resistor box. If your really scared about blowing your motor up...do it right the first time around. Uberdata is free...I think you just have to buy the eprom and eprom burner...and also socket your ecu. This all should cost around $200. If you're already gettin the vafc...you should just go find some 440's and a resistor box. I've seen the injector go for as low as $50 and as high as $150...and the resistor box usually goes for about $30.

Only other things I think you will need or should really get are a Boost Gauge and maybe an A/F Guage. You can actually use a small voltometer for the A/F...it may sound ghetto but it works and it's cheap.

hondata, walbro 255, and 550cc or something close injectors. Get it all tuned and you will be safe as long as you don't crank the boost.

Fuel, a boost controller, and dear God.. Please ditch the FMU. At minimum, look into the SMC or SAFC.
