alignment problem??
i traded my old wheels to a guy and got a set of rota circuit 8's. they had brand new kuhmo ecsta tires on them and i have had the wheels for like maybe 3 months. i had my old wheels for about 4 months. here is the problem...my right front wheel is showing chords, both rears are worn down in the center (looks like camber tho), but the left front is still perfect. also, the right front also sticks out further from the fender than the front does. idk why its doin this but im thinkin it is the toe adjustment. i will post pics up in a sec, but if you guys have any ideas LMK. how does your tires wear with camber? i know some people who have crazy amounts of camber and nothing is wrong with their cars. any ideas?

Re: alignment problem??
you need to get an alignment done to set your toe back to zero. camber won't kill tires that quickly, but toe does. did you hit anything to throw your alignment out of wack?

Re: alignment problem??
no...when i bought the car the wheel stuck out a little bit on the right front. it has done this with every wheel i have ever put on it. im gonna have it aligned next week i hope. im not driving it now. how bad is camber for the tires. i have heard some people say that it wont do anything at all hardly. yet others freak out if their camber is like 1 degree out. how much camber do you guys have on your cars?

Re: alignment problem??
camber isn't so much a deciding factor for wear as toe is.
there's a bunch of guys local to me who run close to 4 degrees negative camber for daily driving. their tires don't wear as badly as you would think. they have their toe zero'd out as well.
i'm currently at 1.5-2 degrees negative on all four wheels. no abnormal wear. (toe zero'd)

i was snowplowing my EK for 2 years. went through 3 sets of tires. RECOMMEND camber kit, and imo, adujstable, saves you so much money.

I went thru the same thing. my toe was zero and my camber was negative and on the 3rd set of tires i finally put a camber kit on and have had no problems since.

Re: alignment problem??
It doesn't matter if its camber or toe at this point he needs an alighnment to fix the problem. then he will know what was causing the abnormal wear. Op I wouldn't be shocked if you need to replace some parts once they pull your car in to align it. Good luck

Re: alignment problem??
what kinda parts? i was wondering before if the car had been wrecked or something, hence the toe being out. but i wasnt sure. i do know the dumb bitch backed it into a brand new corvette. ****ed up the tail light, trunk deck, and rear bumper. but i have ordered the new tire and hopefully getting it aligned thursday. im hoping that will resolve the funky *** look of the tire sticking out also. thanks for the replies guys. i know someone who has their car slammed and he has had negative camber (not sure the degree) and his tires are still perfect. they show no sign of abnormal wear. im thinkin it may just be the alignment. at least i hope.
